The Quince Orchard Project needed to gain attention to its documentary film about the Quince Orchard community in Montgomery County, MD. The filmmakers were challenged to get awareness and participation from the greater community, and wanted to drive interest in the film during its production, creating some hype around its impending release.

Brandekko created a cohesive brand presence for the Quince Orchard Project to connect its community across its media properties and events.

Working with the filmmakers, we designed and built a website that spoke to the rich history of Quince Orchard and the community members that keep its memory alive. The site gives viewers a glimpse into this historical community and gives supporters an opportunity to get involved. Then, we extended its story of inclusiveness and belonging across its social presence, created storylines, memes, and conversation to garner attention and investment from its followers.

The results: The Quince Orchard Project saw an immediate jump in social activity upon launch of its first campaign strategy with Brandekko, increasing their number of followers by almost 600% in the first 10 days, and continually receiving high engagement from their pointed social posts. Their website traffic jumped upon go-live, with donations and story submissions increasing by twofold.
